Currently, Baxter supports two standard Rethink Robotics grippers:

  • electric parallel
  • vacuum cup

These standard grippers (or end-effectors) enable Baxter to work with a wide range of objects while performing simple tasks, and our simple attachment method enables a user to change grippers in minutes.

Custom fingers can be used, but require integration with Baxter by using the Software Development Kit (SDK). If you have any questions about using a custom end-effector, contact your Rethink Robotics Sales Representative for more information. Third party grippers are not currently supported.
