Image: Settings menu.
The settings menu allows the user to configure various aspects of BotWay. The settings menu can only be opened when logged in as Admin and allows for cosmetic changes to a wide variety of BotWay aspects as well as the ability to change passwords for Admin and Operator.
This opens a file browser that allows the user to change the image used as the logo. This appears at the top of the display above the map display tool bar. The default image will be the BotWay logo. BotWay accepts images of the following types: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, and .png.
This area allows the customization of the map display. Here, the user may select a new image to be used in the map display. The map image must be created externally; this option only selects an image. Images of the form .jpg, .png, and .bitmap are accepted. The image usually represents the physical layout of the working area that the robots travel through. Furthermore, the colors of the Vehicle ID text and the Tag ID text can be changed here.
This option allows the user to modify cosmetic options associated with the job queue. First, the number of rows of completed jobs can be changed using the dropdown menu for "Completed Rows." It can be changed by typing in a new value or using the embedded arrows to increment the number. Next, the color of each job status can be changed. Colors for queued jobs, active jobs, staged jobs, and completed jobs can be selected. The menu to change colors is identical to the color change menu for the map labels.
This section allows the user to toggle whether the monitor can be displayed as well as choosing how many lines at a time can be stored on the monitor before they are deleted. The lines shown on the monitor window may be removed from the monitor, but the monitor writes to an archive as well and that file keeps everything regardless of how many lines the user instructs the monitor to keep. The new number can be entered manually on the keyboard or incremented using the arrows embedded in the section.
This section allows the user to decide how many lines can be stored in the robots' status logs before they are deleted. The number of lines can be entered using the keyboard or incremented using the embedded arrows.
This section allows the user to change the passwords used by administrators and operators. The passwords must be entered using the keyboard and confirmed. While the password is being changed, the settings menu cannot be closed until the password and its confirmation match.
This section allows the user to modify some Staging settings. The toggleable option "Fill From Start" will instruct robots to fill the staging area starting from the top-left cell. Otherwise it will fill from the bottom-right. Also, the color to be applied to the cell determined to be removed next or filled next can be changed using the color change menu.
The archiving tab takes the user to another window that allows for the creation of archives. Click Here for a full description on creating and using archives.
