Releases - ResetCollection/support GitHub Wiki
VERSION 1.1.30 (August 9, 2024)
What's New?
I wanted to put out a relatively small update now in order to start up a good habit and routine of working on RESET and putting out new updates regularly.
This update is adding the .emu emulators that are missing, especially the much requested Saturn.emu!
On a personal note, I have been able to get past a period of my life where I was taking care of a lot of personal health issues. I'm living a healthier life, developed healthy habits, and I have more time and energy to devote time every week to working on RESET Collection development!
I hope all of you are enjoying your summer and getting in a lot of retro gaming! My current plan is to play a game that I haven't played since it was released when I was a teenager. I will be diving into Chrono Trigger in order to follow along with my favorite video gaming podcast Get Played! They are playing it as part of their 'We Play You Play' where they pick a game and play it to discuss on an episode at the end of the month. If you have never heard of the Get Played! podcast, you should check it out and treat yourself to a fantastic video gaming podcast!
Take care, friends!
And remember...
VIDEO GAMES IS LIFE!
Features and Improvements
- Add the Saturn.emu, Swan.emu, and Lynx.emu emulators.
VERSION 1.1.27 (July 10, 2023)
What's New?
I'm very excited to announce that RESET Collection is the first emulation frontend to use an AI image generator natively to create and download AI-generated images!
Using an AI image generator from within RESET Collection is early-stage and experimental. You will be accessing the Microsoft AI Image Generator through a Web View within the RESET Collection app. You will then need to log into your Microsoft account, after which you will be able to create and download AI generated images.
Because this is early-stage, there might be some quirks and bugs to fix. If you are stuck on a blank white web page when signing into your Microsoft account, please restart RESET Collection and try again. You may also see a RESET Collection dialog asking you to restart the app giving you an easy way to try again. Once you have signed into your account, I have found that you no longer run into issues loading web pages.
I look forward to seeing what AI images you create and set up in your collections! Please share your images, tips on writing prompts, and your favorite prompts on the RESET Collection Discord. You can find a link to it here:
https://github.com/ResetCollection/support/wiki/RESET-Collection
But that's not all!
You can now also search for and download images for your systems and games using Yahoo Image Search.
To do all of this, go to your system or game's menu and select: 'New image search and download'
Make sure to long press or long touch on 'AI by Microsoft' in order to log in and create AI generated images. And also long press or long touch on 'Yahoo Images' in order to enter a custom search query!
I designed this 'New image search and download' feature to be an intuitive and painless process! I hope it helps you easily find new images all from within your frontend instead of having to download externally on a PC and import them into your device. Please share your feedback on what improvements you would like to see!
And in addition to all of this, you are also going to notice that system artwork now scrape with different images. You can browse these new images by going to your system menu > New image search and download > Scraper.
And lastly, you will now see that images load with a slight yet delightful animation! If you don't want the animation, you can disable this within the settings menu.
Enjoy! And remember...
VIDEO GAMES IS LIFE!

VERSION 1.1.18 (February 18, 2022)
What's New?
Hello! Javier here, developer of RESET Collection!
This is the Android 12 update!
What this means is that RESET Collection will now work with emulators that target Android 11 and above. RESET Collection will also conform to the new 'Scoped Storage' requirements that were introduced with Android 11. This is required in order to be able to continue to release updated versions of RESET Collection to the Google Play Store.
"There are some extra steps that are now necessary in order to set up launching ROMs to these emulators. But RESET will do its best to help you complete this! When you first attempt to launch a game with one of these emulators, a dialog will display that will give you some helpful info and provide a link to a guide I created."
You can always find these guides on the wiki:\nhttps://github.com/ResetCollection/support/wiki
Some of you have also reported that the Dreamcast emulator redream no longer launches correctly from RESET. I've also added an info dialog and guide for getting redream to work with RESET Collection. Check it out!
Oh... and one more thing...
From the bottom of my middle-aged, sentimental, nostalgia-ridden heart, I would like to thank you very much for being a RESET Collection user, and also for being so patient as I worked on this update!
And I would also like to wish you all a belated Happy New Year and Chinese New Year! May you, your family, and your loved ones have much joy, prosperity, and health as we say goodbye to 2021 and LET'S GOOOO to 2022!!
Now let's play some retro games!
