Atmosphère

Atmosphère consists of multiple components (see sidebar), each of which replaces/modifies a different component of the Switch's system.

• Exosphère - TrustZone/Secure Monitor reimplementation, allowing modifications to core security functions
• Fusée - Custom bootloader, loading the system with modifications
• Stratosphère - Custom sysmodules, containing most of the current functionality such as LayeredFS. Contains early-stage customization support, with third-part functionality like custom music.
• Thermosphère - Custom implementation of the lowest-level code on the Switch, for low-level features like EmuNAND
• Troposphère - Horizon OS patches for apps and other CFW features. It is currently not implemented.
