Focus

The main function of Audio Player is to play audio files, such as music, radio plays, streams, audio recordings, and playlist files. The ID3 tag editor was outsourced from the main app into the separate Audio Player Editor app for later development. At this time there is no release of the editor available.
Cover search and tag editing are nice to have but the major development goes in the direction of playing additional codecs, displaying additional tags, and adjusting the look and feel of Audio Player to the Nextcloud server software.

Files

We will not extend the Files app. Neither with a complete player, nor with any features for automated playing of audio files. To tweak the most commonly used standard app needs a lot of tests and potential adjustments with every new server release and restricts the development of the Audio Player app.

EOL

With Audio Player we support only maintained versions of Nextcloud and ownCloud. After the end-of-life of a cloud version we drop their support for security reasons.
