A player may own up to three deeds at any give time, and have no less than one deed at any time. Even if the player owns more than one deed, only one deed can be active at any time. Only facilities on the active deed can be active themselves and produce resources. A player may choose to change which deed is the active deed at any time by travelling to that deed, this takes some time depending on how far away the deed is from the previously active deed.
Biomes
The property may be one of several biomes. Most biomes give bonuses to the production of certain types of resources, the bonuses may be positive or negative. The deed the player starts with is always to a property with a planes biome which gives no bonuses.

Buying a Deed
A player may buy additional deeds (to have up to three deeds in total). A player can buy deeds that other players are selling from the Universal Exchange, or buy unclaimed deeds from Idle Inc.
Universal Exchange deeds
Deeds purchased from the Universal Exchange may already have facilities built on them from previous owners. These facilities can be activated and produce resources for the new owner even if the new owner has not researched the technologies required to build the facility themselves.
Unclaimed deeds
Scattered throughout the universe on many planes are deeds that have not been claimed by any player yet. These deeds are the property of Idle Inc. and can be purchased for a fee.
Selling a Deed
If a player owns more than one deed they can sell any of their nonactive deeds on the Universal Exchange. A deed that is currently being sold on the Universal Exchange cannot be activated.
Environment
A new deed begins as a pristine environment that reflects an idealistic version of its biome. The environment will change to reflect the find of facilities being built on the deed. For example, if the deed consists of mostly mines, the environment will reflect this by becoming more like a quarry than an untouched piece of nature. If there are many dirty factories then the toxic waste will be evident in the environment. These changes are purely aesthetic.
