Allow female* head models to change color based on Assettable skin field - Raytwo/Cobalt GitHub Wiki
First you wanna export the Albedo texture using UABEA and then open it up in paint.net
Then you wanna highlight and copy all the skin part onto a new layer
Then you wanna use the magic wand with tolerance slider set to 0% and using flood mode and find the biggest single color piece at the center of the face. It'll either be exactly the skin color in the assettable or really close to it.
I like to make a new layer and paintbucket this selection to pure white (#ffffff) for later.
Now go back to the copied skin layer, and take the recolor tool, you want to set the hardness slider to 100% and tolerance slider to 100% as well, and then make the brush size super big at 2000. You can leave the spacing slider as is. You also want the selected color to be pure white (#ffffff). Then finally, hover the tool over the pure white layer we made earlier so you know its being exact, and click.
Now the texture is centered around white and will work properly. Feel free to delete the white layer we used for guidance and merge the now edited skin layer down.
Then go ahead and File > Save As and name it something different, i tend to just add whiter to the end.
Now that our new texture is saved, we just have 2 little things left. In UABEA, go to the MtSkin asset and click Edit Data. Scroll down to where it says "_Makeup" and set the value below to 0. This is what stops the model from adopting the color in the assettable. Hit the Ok button and that change will be done.
Then scroll back down to the Albedo texture and select it, Plugins > Edit Texture > Ok > Load and then select the new white texture you've made. Click Save, and then you just do the standard file saving. At the top File > Save, close this window, Main Window, File > Save/Save as and then thats pretty much it.
