(Videogame Addiction)
The What
The Problem Space that was explored in this Project was Videogame Addiction.
As with any form of addiction, it can have a negative impact on people's lives, by taking away available time in a person's day that could be used for productive tasks, which hinders their ability to achieve time-sensitive goals, and may also adversely affect those around them.
The How
The specific aspect of this addiction which this Project attempts to address is the ability for Addiction Victims to reach out to communities willing to support and guide them to eliminating their addiction, as addiction is often a coping technique one uses when suffering from other problems in life. Thus, the proposed System is designed to provide a versatile platform for which like-minded Videogame Addicts may seek help and support from Counsellors or each other.
From these social interactions, it is also anticipated that they will discuss and decide on Tasks to perform in order to deal with Videogame Addiction, and will need to keep track of their own actions and progress, which the System should provide a means to do so.
