You might think that this setting already exists in Superior Skyblock 2, but you would be mistaken. The one that currently exists only stops fireballs created by ghasts from exploding, which means that if you have a plugin (Such as Excellent Enchants) that lets players or entities shoot fireballs, you would quickly realize that you have a crater sized problem in your island (trust me, I know).
So, you've set your island to always have day, and want to afk at your mob farm. Sounds ok, right? Well, tell that to the " was slain by phantom" death message. This will allow you to disable phantoms from spawning, even when monster spawns are enabled. Couldn't we just have voted for Mob D: The Great Hunger instead.
Well, you've finally gotten spawners in some way, shape or form, and want to disable the natural mob spawns, since all your farms are stupidly efficient now, but then you notice something weird. Pillager patrols still spawn? Yep, and without going into too much technical detail, it's because they have different spawn rules than stuff like spiders, skeletons, zombies, etc. This simply stops them from appearing (or at least gives you the option to stop them from appearing).
You just unlocked the nether, and you built a portal to get there, but you don't really know what do with the portal, so you just leave it there, thinking you're safe, since you don't have monster spawns enabled anyway. Well, bad idea. If you read the pillager patrol section, you might already have an idea about what's gonna happen. You're gonna get a zombiefied piglin just stomping around like it owns the place. It's a dark and stormy night, the clock is about to strike midnight as you're working on your villager breeder, when you hear the sound. You think you had all the protection you needed, but these monsters are elusive. You try to fight them off, only to find that they won't back down, and you draw your final breath while they eat your flesh, wondering if there was anything you could have done to prevent this... Well, there is now, at least. No more hordes of zombies spawning near your skyblock villages.
So, this is it, you've made a vindicator farm and are ready to make some money by selling emeralds using [insert_shop_plugin_here], then buy yourself some netherite, so you turn off the farm, sell some emeralds, buy the netherite, and go to enchant your gear. You find out you're just shy of the xp you need, so you go back to the farm and see that there are still some vindicators left in the killing chamber, so you take them out, only to realize that the raid bar starts refilling, because the vindicators you had in the chamber was keeping the raid from progressing and spawning pillagers in random locations, and now you have full on raid on your island, ready to kill the villagers you spent so much time to get. Anyway, this makes it so that the raids don't even start (It does not remove bad omen, though, so maybe tell your fellow players to make sure their settings are correct if you've seen some crows, ravens, black cats, or really any black animals lately).
