Machine setup (2 days lead time) (see also here)

1. Setup Mac as ‘Railsbank’ with suitable password (six random words chosen by a password generator) stored in LastPass -> Shared-Office
2. Set windows name (sysprefs->network->advanced->WINS): use a spell from firstletter of main user’s firstname (Adam -> accio)
3. Name machine something sensible - http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_spells - (that’s not used -- list of names in use): SysPrefs/Sharing.
4. Enable remote login, remote management. SysPrefs/Sharing
5. Encrypt hard-disk (not using appleID, store passphrase in LastPass for ‘machinename’) SysPrefs/Security & Privacy -> FileVault (click 🔒at bottom left)
6. Enable firewall to stop shit coming in SysPrefs/Security & Privacy -> Firewall (click 🔒at bottom left)
7. Set screensaver to lock after 5 mins: SysPrefs/Desktop & Screensaver
8. Check we require password after Screensaver is activated: SysPrefs/Security & Privacy/General Require password
9. Open 'App Store' and sign-in to Apple Store using Railsbank account ([email protected]) for installing updates to pages/keynote etc.
