1. All of your social media account do you have?
A: Facebook and Instagram (FB 8k+ followers; IG 2k+ followers)
2. What is your domain through?
A: SquareSpace
3. Did you buy any other domain name that you bought just don’t use?
A: I do not own any other domains besides the one on my current website
4. How do you advertise your business right now and how much do you spend already?
A: I advertise on Facebook, Instagram (Free) and recently via the Kane County Chronicle for $300/month when needed. I did boost a post on Facebook which was I think only $5 for a week.
5. How much would you be willing to spend if need to?
A: Up to $300
###6. How do people put in orders as of right now?
A: Direct email based off weekly changed menu (I.E. Entree A, B, C, D and the number of each meal)
###7. How long does it take for turn over, like from when the customer makes the order to when you deliver it?
A: Meals are picked-up most of the time. Rarely do I deliver. They order between Saturdays-Mondays; sometimes late orders come in on Tuesdays and I'll sometimes make an exception if I have not reached my max capacity of meals for the week which is 200 meals. The pick up is every Friday. So 5 days in between from the day they order and pick-up. My issue is reminding people to not forget to put orders in over the week and on Mondays. I send emails and post to Facebook to remember but it is becoming more footwork to remind people without them remembering hence the late orders on Tuesday. So to collect peoples emails as they view my site/order, I will be able to keep track of their emails to to e-blasts and have their information in the future when need be.
8. Do you have a separate accounting system to keep track of all your transactions?
A: I have PayPal and a SquareReader
In the future as I grow, make changes and expand, will I be continually be working with you or anyone from the group to help make the changes on the website when needed? And i understand after the 10 weeks, the project will be now a working business with me and whoever I you ld work with and then be charged. What I am thinking is that I know eventually I will want to make my website a page with information about my business essentially and eliminating the order forms and solely having set pick-up locations to where I will not have people tell me what they want, but letting them know where these meals will be that week what what meals will be there. This is something new that has come to mind of how I see things changing in the future which is why I wanted to ask if I will still have continuous help once it comes time to changing a few functions. The other aspect I would like for the website to have is the space for links of videos that I will be coming out with for people to view and eventually subscribe to for purchase i.e e-books of recipes and videos. I'm not sure the extent of how WordPress works or if it allows pages like this on their platform or if that has to be a entirely separate built website that I could look into on my own etc.
