I am a co-founder and the CEO of APIphany, a startup company located in Washington D.C. APIphany offers a cloud-based Web API management solution that transforms businesses into business platforms powered by APIs. I’ve been in IT for more than 15 years in roles ranging from a software developer to a head of a software development practice at a consulting company. I helped design and lead development traditional enterprise and highly scalable cloud-based systems. Experiences with the latter led to a product idea and to a startup company, APIphany. Although my current role is less technical, I try to find time for hacking when I can. I was born on the Sakhalin Island in Russian Far East and moved to Siberia to obtain a master's degree in physics and computer science. I moved to USA at age 24 to explore new opportunities. Besides technology I like snowboarding, judo, BMW cars, and IPAs |

| Title | Make OData based API more palatable for your developers |
|---|---|
| Level | Five In Five |
| Abstract | Although OData APIs enable powerful and flexible access to data, they have somewhat complicated and visually unattractive URL query syntax. It might detract some developers and make a learning curve a bit steep for others. During this short presentation I will present an approach, based on a real-life API implementation, that addresses the above issue without compromising API's power and flexibility. |
