Need Statement: Wire stripping and cutting machine

In the underdeveloped small scale industries, nowadays labour is a major problem for industries. The system of automation in industry can solve this problem in a very efficient way. So we have come up with a cost effective wire cutting machine which is simple and portable. The practical objective of the machine is to cut the required length of wire in required number of pieces.

The components of the machine are as follows:

In semi-automatic wire cutting machine a spool of wire is connected to a motor using which the wire is made to pass through the acrylic sheet towards the cutting station. The length of the wire to be cut is set in a display. Drive cycles, during which the wire is driven a predetermined distance, are counted in the length counter. Th IR sensor is fixed near the acrylic sheet which indicates the presence of wire then the motor connected the cutting unit is activated. The processed wires are then stored in a container. This machine features LCD display prompts for easy-to-follow set-up and operation, Semi-automatic wire loading and unloading.

The base of the machine which is made up of foam board is strong enough in such a way that it can carry the whole equipment. Arcylic sheet is fixed on the foam board for supports and guide purposes.
