How to Install Questie for Classic WoW (TBC, Era, WotLK)

This guide will help you install Questie for World of Warcraft Classic versions, including The Burning Crusade (TBC), Vanilla Era, and Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK).

Step 1: Download the Latest Release

Download the latest version of Questie from the official GitHub releases page. Click on the latest release link to get the .zip file.

Step 2: Extract the .zip File

Once you've downloaded the .zip file, you'll need to extract it.

• Windows: Right-click the .zip file and choose Extract All..., or use a tool like 7-Zip to extract it.

• macOS: Simply double-click the .zip file to extract it.

Step 3: Copy the Extracted Questie Folder to Your AddOns Directory

Now that you've extracted the Questie folder, you'll need to place it in your WoW Classic AddOns directory.

Path to AddOns Folder:

• Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns
• macOS: /Applications/World of Warcraft/_classic_/Interface/AddOns

Finding the folder where WoW Classic is installed

• Open the Battle.net Launcher.
• Select World of Warcraft Classic, Wrath of the Lich King Classic, or Burning Crusade Classic.
• Click on Options and select Show in Explorer (Windows) or Reveal in Finder (macOS).
• Navigate to the _classic_ folder.

Copy the Folder:

• Copy the extracted Questie folder into the AddOns directory.

Important

Ensure that the path is exactly as follows:

✅ World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\Addons\Questie\Questie.toc

Avoid having an extra folder level like this:

❌ World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\Addons\Questie\Questie\Questie.toc
❌ World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\Addons\Questie-b3\Questie.toc

Step 4: Restart World of Warcraft

If you are logged into World of Warcraft, you must completely restart the game to load the new add-on.

Step 5: Verify the Installation

Launch World of Warcraft Classic, and at the character selection screen, click on the AddOns button in the lower-left corner. Ensure Questie is listed and enabled.
