## Welcome
Utility Investment Library (UIL) is an AnyLogic library supports decision making for electric utility expansion. UIL provides a framework to automate Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and perform prestigious statistical inferences for risk analysis.
The Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) approach is, as a cost of its powerfulness and comprehensiveness, expectedly resources consuming. Utilities need to enumerate and evaluate all existing and potential resource options to meet regulations, hereby great efforts are made to repeatedly integrate numerous data into an ultimate financial model throughout rounds of modifications.
This level of complexity can be greatly reduced with UIL. Its role-playing design breaks down works of IRP into three domains according to required specialties. This breakdown allows collaborators to work in parallel and reuse existing pieces. The UIL automation can learn and reapply calculations of existing datasets onto new one to alleviate pains of tedious works.
## Key Features- Role-playing deisgn
- What-if scenarios
- Monte Carlo risk analysis
- Accept financial models specified in Excel
- Allow embedding System Dynamics (SD) models of, for example, demand elasticity
- Allow embedding Agent-based (ABM) models of, for example, Demand Side Management (DSM)
- Risk-oriented optimization solver
