The body (white section in the middle) is where the actual page contents go.

The footer (light gray area at the bottom) contains the same content on every page, support links and AIS link

The GitHub API uses messages in span tags to give a clue what might be going on.

If javascript is disabled, or things are horribly broke, the message might get left saying as much.

If the javascript runs, but the GitHub API server isn't responding, the message might get left saying that we are querying the server for some results

If all goes well, we should get a list of lists back from GitHub. This list of lists is styled using CSS at the client end.
