Removed Structures ‐ Where did everything go? - Purpulear/order-of-the-stone GitHub Wiki
Ruined Portals
Not much has changed about how you enter the nether. Portal is still built with a frame of at least 10 obsidian and lighting it with flint and steel/fire However, Crying Obsidian no longer generates in the world. So, you will have to obtain it through bartering with Piglins. Dropping 3-6 when successfully traded for.
Villages
While there are no villages, Villagers however can be obtained through the usual method of curing zombie villagers. Allowing players to create their own villagers later on in the game.
Nether Fortresses
Perhaps one of the most important structures to lose. Nether Fortress usually provided players with access to the Wither, Potions, and the End Portal. Here is where they all went:
- Wither Skeletons
Wither Skeletons have replaced all Skeleton spawns in the Soul Sand Valley. And are one of the few mobs to benefit from new attack animations. Making them quite dangerous to deal with in the soul sand speed. They are best dealt with in a similar manner to creepers; get your attack in and back away as quick as possible to dodge their swing. Alternatively, you can parry them with a quick tap of a shield, leaving them stunned long enough to get a attack in freely.
- Blazes
Blazes now spawn in the Basalt Deltas. Making these biomes even more of a dangerous location. Other than that everything else about these guys is the same. Just be prepared to deal with them flying out of melee reach quite often. The blaze rods are still important for crafting Eye of Ender and Brewing Stands.
- Nether Wart
Nether wart has replaced the Ender Pearls in the Piglin Bartering loot-table. Making them a bit of rare trade. But once you have some you can continue to grow more in soul sand.
Strongholds
Another important structure. End Portal Frames are now craftable with 3 Sandstone, 3 Emeralds and 2 Diamonds each. Totaling 36 Sandstone and Emeralds and 24 Diamonds for a complete portal. End Portal Frames still require Eyes of Ender to complete. And must be placed facing inwards from the center. Do not worry about where you place these, as they are now mineable and moveable with diamond or above tier pickaxes. They take a very long time to mine however.
End Cities and Ships
Shulkers themselves unfortunately do not spawn naturally at the moment due to their block like nature and despawning rules. This is subject to change tho. Do not fret however, as Shulker Shells are now craftable with 5 Popped Chorus Fruit. Elytras are also craftable with Chorus Fruit and Phantom Membranes. Phantoms no longer spawning in the overworld by default. Making all the resources obtainable in the End Dimension.
Ocean Monuments
Guardians now occasionally spawn in any Deep Ocean biome. When struck by lightning they turn into Elder guardians.
Archeology Related Structures
All Pottery sherds are now crafted at a smithing table using a brick, flint and corresponding item to the pattern. Sniffers now spawn naturally in Sparse Jungle biomes and have a chance to sniff up the Relic Music Disc
Armor Trims
All armor trims are now rarely dropped by mobs associated with their look and original origins. They also require a player kill to drop, so they will not drop in mob farms. Here is a list of the mobs that drop armor trims:
- Sentry - Vindicators
- Vex - Evokers
- Wild - Zombies
- Coast - Drowned
- Dune - Husk
- Tide - Elder Guardians
- Snout - Zombified Piglins
- Rib - Wither Skeletons
- Eye - Endermen
- Spire - Shulkers*
- Ward - Witch
- Silence - Wardens (100% chance)
One of the following 4 will always be dropped by the Wither along with the Netherite Smithing Template:
- Wayfinder
- Raiser
- Shaper
- Host
Shulker spawn eggs can be obtained with an infusion pedestal setup. Allowing Spire to be obtainable*
