Setup

  • Create a Cinemachine Brain Component for the Main Camera object
  • Drag the PlayerCamera Prefab into the scene
  • Drag the Player object into the Look At and Follow attributes of the Cinemachine Virtual Camera
  • Adjust The Damping And Damping When Occluded Properties to change the smoothing when the camera zooms in and out

Cinemachine Collider

  • Under the Obstacle Detection header on the Cinemachine Collider component, the Collide Against layermask controls what objects the camera will detect and avoid
