Prerequisites

💫 PLSR Desktop Wallet ⇔ 🔥 PLSR Discord Wallet

In the domain of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, a Pulsar Coin ("PLSR") blockchain address functions as a digital mailbox for PLSR transactions. Much like you require an email address for sending and receiving emails, conducting PLSR cryptocurrency transactions necessitates a PLSR blockchain address. This address comprises a unique string of alphanumeric characters, serving as a public identifier within the PLSR blockchain. Generated within a PLSR wallet through cryptographic algorithms, an address enables the sending and receiving of PLSR digital currency. Each blockchain address is distinct, ensuring precise routing of digital assets to their intended recipients.

To initiate the creation of a PLSR address on the blockchain, users have two primary wallet platforms at their disposal:

  1. the PLSR desktop wallet; and
  2. the PLSR discord wallet.

Important

  • Even though each platform is 100% compatible with one another, there are different setup procedures involved with provisioning an address on each platform.
  • Users must use at least one platform; most users take advantage of both and send coins back-and-forth.
  • Members of the Pulsar Team maintain the discord wallet.  

💫 PLSR Desktop Wallet

For Windows and Linux

The PLSR desktop wallet for Windows and Linux offer the same graphical user interface ("GUI").

Step 1: "Receive"

Note

  • There are four main different buttons along the top banner: "Overview", "Send", "Receive", and "Transactions".
  • The first step in generating an address involves clicking the "Receive" button.

Note

  • Users may either leave the "label" field blank or they may input a custom label describing the function of the address about to be created.
  • Custom labels are not necessary for proper function.
  • Custom labels can always be added or changed later.
  • Custom labels might describe the "purpose" of the address, for example: "Mining" or "Savings"
  • The second step in generating an address involves clicking the "Request Payment" button.
  • This can be done several times - with each time generating a new address.
  • All addresses are associated with and are stored in the wallet.dat file.

Note

  • The wallet generates a QR code image of the Pulsar Coin address.
  • The information box below the QR code image displays the created address.
  • Users are able to click on the "Copy Address" button in order to copy-and-paste their address to their clipboard.

Discord account required

Because the PLSR discord wallet uses discord as its "front-end" and the desktop wallet as its "back-end," the process of creating a PLSR address through the discord interface will be different than creating an address through the desktop wallet. Discord itself has its own security and verification requirements which must be satisfied before creating a PLSR address through the discord interface.

Introduction

For this tutorial, we will use the discord application on a desktop computer along with the Google Authenticator App.

Important

  • Join Discord using our Pulsar Coin Invitation.
  • Users must use a valid email address for Discord verification.
  • Users must use a valid cell phone number for Discord verification.
  • Users must enable 2 Factor Authentication ("2FA") in Discord Settings and use an app such as Google Authenticator.

Important

  • In order to participate in the #wallet channel on the Pulsar discord server, users must enter a phone number.

Step 1: Enable 2FA

Note

  • To setup 2FA in discord, click on the settings icon located in the lower left hand corner of the screen.

Note

  • Clicking on the settings icon opens the "My Account" information screen.
  • Scroll down to enable 2FA.
  • This screen provides an additional avenue to input a verification telephone number.

Step 2: Register in #Wallets

Important

  • After successfully enabling 2FA and linking your phone number, proceed to the #wallets channel.
  • Type the command /plsr-register and tap the [Enter] key on your keyboard; do not copy-and-paste commands as copy-and-paste will not work.
  • A web browser pop-up window will appear asking permission to link the wallet to your discord account. Ensure that this pop-up is allowed.
  • Registration happens once. Attempting to register again will display an error message.

Step 3: Use the Discord GUI

Important

  • After successful registration in the #wallets channel, type the command /plsr-gui and tap the [Enter] key on your keyboard; do not copy-and-paste commands as copy-and-paste will not work.
  • Once the GUI displays in the #wallets channel, click on the green Deposit button.

Step 4: View address

Note

  • There is a limit of 1 address for each user.
  • The address created through the discord user interface is linked to a user's discord account and is secured with 2FA.
