Objective

The goal of this lab is to set up Chrome remote desktop and the Kali box for this course.

Helpful Commands and Instructions

After locating the Kali VM in vcenter, change the default user account and root passwords using passwd [USERACCT] and download the Chrome Remote Desktop extension within the Kali box on a different account than your school email. Once this is complete, set up the remote desktop connection with a relevant name for the box, and sign out of the local Kali box. Navigate to Chrome remote desktop on the host machine and open the Kali VM through the extension. You should be able to navigate to the private IP provided in the lab.

Issues and Troubleshooting

Make sure to sign out of the local VM before attempting to use Chrome Remote Desktop. Write down new passwords so as not to lose them.
