Finishing Tips

gencab (Gen Cab) method

Starting with a rough grain of Sandpaper to even out the Surface.
200 - 400 grit to remove uneven surface, then 600 - 800 Grit to reduces gouges and imperfections for further smooths.
Now you can use 1200 - 1500 grit Sandpaper to wet sanding it (Sandpaper dipping in water), you can go up to 4000 grit until you reach the finish you are looking for.

OR you use this method

joeys (Joey Nuggetz) method

Basically used regular sandpaper up to 500 grit and then use micromesh 1500 grit to 12,000 grit wet. Then you can, but you don't need to if your print looks fine now, use plastic polish and after that add some wax to the print.

A thumb rule of sanding is "if you think you're done sanding, you are only half way there". But this must not be the case in your finishing process, so use sanding to your liking. If you like the finish, then it is perfect!
