Client Meeting January 11th - ProstheticFalconry/Capstone GitHub Wiki

What can Mihai and Dave expect to get done with the kernel and flight controller. Mihai thinks he can do anything. Dave expresses concern with regards to the realistic end point of quadcopter flight controller. Velocity tracking scales linearly while using other tracking immediately runs into errors produced due to double integrations. Speed of a directional flight can easily be mapped to an angle on the flight controller but we still need some sort of PID control system to determine a reactionary force so as to stop lateral motion. For the most part position of quadcopter is being ignored, while accelerators for velocity are more within the scope of our project. We can tell the quadcopter to stand still, but as it stands we cannot tell a quadcopter to stand still in a certain position. Can we use this with timing to get an understanding of our position? Potentially but not likely. Stability is a program running in the background of the flight controller which will tell the quadcopter to not crash. Clients remind us of the need for quadcopter to recognize the drift velocity of the quadcopter. Dave states that with a roll pitch yaw framework almost any of these ideas can be built when coupled with the camera.

Nick brings up our budget and specifies that certain stuff is already bought and ready to be ordered. Some stuff does not have a vendor and has already been purchased such as the actuator. Nick secures small parts that are relevant for his project, buttons, switches so on. The purchasing of these items may be as simple as an email, however order numbers vendors part numbers etc need to be present on a formalized materials list. Clients simply need to go through our budget list.

Nick assigns tasks like Nick, Austin and Nik being signed to PCB design and fabrication being done within the next few weeks. Ideally this PCB should be ordered far before our reading week deadline. Dr Lipsett technical advisor role and testing facility is brought up again and Jaden expresses an interest in seeing this facility. Working with the client a rudimentary parts sign out sheet is assembled and propeller assembly is questioned.
