The Timeline card in the Format pane allows you to customize the top timescale header above the Gantt chart. You can configure weekday starts, default zoom states, and the colors and heights of the header rows.

1. Timeline Configuration Options

Week Start Day

Select which weekday a week starts on. This is only applied when the chart zoom level displays weekly intervals.

When zoomed in to the week level, days are grouped into weeks starting with your selected weekday:

  • Example (Week starts on Monday): Timeline zoomed to week level starting on Monday
  • Example (Week starts on Sunday): Timeline zoomed to week level starting on Sunday

Zoom Level

Toggle this setting to allow configuring default zoom settings for report consumers.

Default Value

Set the default zoom timescale (such as Year, Month, Week, or Day) that displays automatically every time a user opens the report.

2. Timeline Header Style Settings

Header Formatting

Customize the layout and design of the timescale header. You can set the height, background color, font color, and text size independently for the Top Level Header (e.g. Month or Year) and the Bottom Level Header (e.g. Week or Day).
