Ragged Hierarchy - Profitbase/PowerBI-visuals-Gantt GitHub Wiki
If your task hierarchy contains missing intermediate levels (for example, a project where some tasks do not belong to sub-phases), the Gantt chart might render these as blank rows. The Ragged Hierarchy settings card allows you to automatically clean up your grid by hiding these empty rows.
Ragged Hierarchy Options
Hide Blank
Toggle this setting to display or hide empty grouping levels in your data grid.
-
Off (Blank Rows Displayed): By default, Power BI displays empty rows for any missing parent levels in your hierarchy, which can make the chart look disconnected.
-
On (Blank Rows Hidden): Enabling this option automatically collapses the blank spaces, showing the underlying child tasks directly under their nearest active parent level.
To activate this setting, open the Format pane, expand the Ragged hierarchy card, and toggle the Hide blank switch to On.
