Multi taskbar - Profitbase/PowerBI-visuals-Gantt GitHub Wiki

The Multi Taskbar setting controls how child tasks are visualized on parent (summary) rows when your hierarchy is collapsed. Instead of rendering a single continuous summary bar, it allows you to see the individual timelines and gaps of all underlying child tasks directly on the collapsed parent row.

1. Comparing Hierarchy Behaviors

Standard Summary Bar (Multi Taskbar Off)

By default, when a parent row is collapsed, it displays a single summary bar that spans the entire range from the start date of the earliest child task to the end date of the latest child task. Any chronological gaps between tasks are hidden.

Multi Taskbar Enabled (Multi Taskbar On)

When you enable Multi Taskbar, collapsing a parent row displays each child taskbar on that single parent row, preserving their individual start/end times.

Visualizing Schedule Gaps

If there are chronological gaps between the child tasks:

The collapsed parent bar will show the gaps clearly rather than combining them into a single solid bar:
