Conditions bucket - Profitbase/PowerBI-visuals-Gantt GitHub Wiki
The Conditions data bucket allows you to feed custom fields and measures from your dataset into conditional formatting rules. This lets you dynamically change taskbar colors or styles based on custom logic without showing these fields as columns in your data grid.
How to Use the Conditions Bucket
Step 1: Select the Gantt visual
Click on the Gantt chart visual on your Power BI report canvas to select it.
Step 2: Locate the Conditions bucket
In the Build visual pane on the right side of Power BI Desktop, scroll down to find the Conditions data bucket.
Step 3: Add your columns or measures
Drag the fields you want to use for color rules into the Conditions bucket. You can add multiple fields.
Characteristics of the Conditions Bucket
1. Hidden from the Main Chart
Fields placed in the Conditions bucket do not draw on the chart. They will not show up as taskbars, milestones, additional columns in the data grid, labels, or hover tooltips.
2. Supports Both Columns and Measures
You can drag both standard columns (such as text categories or date fields) and calculated measures into this bucket to support your rules.
3. Bind Unlimited Fields
There is no limit to the number of fields you can add to the Conditions bucket, allowing you to build complex conditional formatting rules.
