Additional columns - Profitbase/PowerBI-visuals-Gantt GitHub Wiki

Additional columns allow you to display relevant information for each task directly in the left-hand data grid. Each field you add to this data bucket is displayed as a separate column next to the task names.

How to Display Additional Columns

Step 1: Add fields to the data bucket

Drag and drop the fields you want to show into the Additional Columns data bucket in the Build visual pane.

(New in Gantt v1.1) This bucket supports both columns and measures from your Power BI data model.

Step 2: Enable the columns in formatting settings

By default, the visual only displays the primary Tasks column. To make your additional columns visible:

  1. Select the visual on your report canvas.
  2. Go to the Format pane.
  3. Open the Column Options card.
  4. Increase the Visible Columns setting.

How to Arrange and Resize Columns

1. Change the Column Order

Additional columns display from left to right in the exact order they are stacked in your Additional Columns data bucket. To change their order, drag and reorder the fields within the data bucket.

2. Adjust Column Widths

You can resize your columns in two ways:

  • Temporary adjustments: Click and drag the vertical splitter bars directly on the visual grid to adjust column widths on the fly.
  • Permanent adjustments: Set fixed, permanent widths for each column under the Column Options card in the Format pane.
