Installing Requiem with Vortex - ProbablyManuel/requiem GitHub Wiki
You must start a new game when you install Requiem. The changes made by this mod are too complicated to be applied to existing savegames. Requiem will refuse to start in existing savegames.
Requiem makes some significant changes to the game. Some of these changes are applied using external tooling to both Requiem and third party mods in your setup. You therefore need to generate a patch plugin for your personal load-order as part of the installation process. This patch plugin is created by the Reqtificator and is called Requiem for the Indifferent.esp
.
Requirements
In addition to Requiem itself (available at NexusMods), you will need the following dependencies as well:
- Skyrim Special Edition v1.6.1170 (Steam release) or v1.6.1179 (GOG release)
- Skyrim Script Extender
- SkyUI
- Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
Furthermore, the following SKSE plugins are highly recommended. These are important fixes for Skyrim bugs that significantly affect Requiem gameplay.
- Bug Fixes SSE
- Dual Casting Fix
- SSE Engine Fixes
- Scrambled Bugs - You need to enable the following patches by editing
Data/SKSE/Plugins/ScrambledBugs.json
:- Perk Entry Points: Apply Multiple Spells
- Power Attack Stamina
- Script Effect Archetype Crash Fix (Scrambled Bugs)
- Vendor Respawn Fix (Scrambled Bugs)
Installation Process
- Go to the mods tab and enable Requiem.
- Go to the main dashboard tab and add a new tool.
- Create the new tool with these settings:
Name:Reqtificator
Target:<path to the data folder in your skyrim installation>\Reqtificator.bat
Command Line: leave blank
Start In: leave blank
- Launch the Reqtificator.
- Choose the options you want in the Reqtificator's main menu and then start the patch creation.
- Go back to the plugins tab and enable the
Requiem for the Indifferent.esp
. - Start Skyrim and enjoy Requiem!
The content of the Requiem for the Indifferent.esp
depends strongly on your load order. You need to recreate this patch by running the Reqtificator again whenever you add, remove, update or reorder any plugins.
