Installing Requiem with Mod Organizer 2 - ProbablyManuel/requiem GitHub Wiki

You must start a new game when you install Requiem. The changes made by this mod are too complicated to be applied to existing savegames. Requiem will refuse to start in existing savegames.

Requiem makes some significant changes to the game. Some of these changes are applied using external tooling to both Requiem and third party mods in your setup. You therefore need to generate a patch plugin for your personal load-order as part of the installation process. This patch plugin is created by the Reqtificator and is called Requiem for the Indifferent.esp.

Requirements

In addition to Requiem itself (available at NexusMods), you will need the following dependencies as well:

Furthermore, the following SKSE plugins are highly recommended. These are important fixes for Skyrim bugs that significantly affect Requiem gameplay.

Installation Process

  1. Go to the downloads tab in Mod Organizer and double-click on the file to start the installation. install MO - download
  2. Follow the instructions in the installer and choose the options you want to install.
  3. Activate the mod in MO's mod list. install MO - activate mod
  4. Activate the plugin Requiem.esp in your plugin list. install MO - activate plugin
  5. Go to MO's executable configuration menu and create a new executable with the these settings:
    Name: Reqtificator
    Binary: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe
Start In: <path to the data folder in your skyrim installation>
    Arguments: /K Reqtificator.bat
    install MO - executable config
  6. After creating the new executable, select it from your executable list and run it. install MO - run reqtificator
  7. Choose the options you want in the Reqtificator's main menu and then start the patch creation. install MO - reqtificator options
  8. Enable the generated Requiem for the Indifferent.esp in your plugin list. install MO - activate plugin
  9. Start Skyrim and enjoy Requiem!

The content of the Requiem for the Indifferent.esp depends strongly on your load order. You need to recreate this patch by running the Reqtificator again whenever you add, remove, update or reorder any plugins.
