This note references Edarin the Seer as his pupil.
Finally, that villain Focal has proved useful. He managed to extract the location of a viable Forge Fragment. The place is called “The Valley of Woe”, and my young apprentice Edarin would like to accompany me. He's unprepared for the danger ahead but I can not keep him cloistered here forever. He has a good heart but time he learned of the world and its grim reality.

This journey has taken its toll on us both. We lost 2/3 of the mercenaries I hired to get us down here. Not sure I trust them to take us back. I should have never made a deal with these people. Every glance in our direction makes me feel as though we're mice being circled by a cobra. I just hope Edarin sees his way back to the surface.
