Memory Screen - Poppenspel-Advies/forget-me-not-mobile-app-ai GitHub Wiki
The Memory Screen is the persistent memory management experience of ForgetMeNot AIβ’.
When a logged-in user generates or captures contextual information, the application can send the relevant signal through Gemini AI analysis. The resulting structured signal is then stored in the ForgetMeNot AIβ’ Firebase database, associated with the authenticated user.
The Memory Screen retrieves these stored signals and presents them to the user in one centralized, manageable view.

ForgetMeNot AIβ’ follows a signal-processing flow in which contextual information is analyzed before becoming a persistent memory signal.

Memory signals are associated with the authenticated user of ForgetMeNot AIβ’.
The Memory Screen is therefore designed to retrieve and display the signals belonging to the currently logged-in user's memory collection.

MEMORY SCREEN
This creates a user-specific memory layer rather than a common collection of signals shared between users.
Gemini AI is used as part of the signal-analysis pipeline.
Raw or contextual information can be analyzed to identify meaningful information that ForgetMeNot AIβ’ can represent as a structured signal.
Depending on the captured context, the analyzed information can include concepts such as:
π― Intent
π§ Context
π·οΈ Category
β±οΈ Temporal information
π Relevant location/context
π Associated information
β‘ Potential omission-related signal
The resulting structured information can then be persisted as a ForgetMeNot AIβ’ memory signal.
After analysis, the structured signal is stored in the application's Firebase database.
Firebase therefore acts as the persistent storage layer for the user's ForgetMeNot AIβ’ memory signals.

MEMORY SCREEN
The Memory Screen subsequently provides the interface through which the user can review the stored information.
The Memory Screen presents the signals stored for the currently logged-in ForgetMeNot AIβ’ user.
Each stored memory can provide a visible representation of the information retained by the application.
A signal may include information such as:
| Signal Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
| π§ Signal | The stored contextual information |
| π― Intent | Associated user intention |
| π·οΈ Category | Signal classification |
| π Context | Relevant contextual information |
| β±οΈ Time | Associated timestamp or temporal context |
| π€ User Association | Connection to the authenticated user |
| π₯ Firebase Persistence | Stored application memory |
The Memory Screen allows the logged-in user to edit a stored signal.
This provides a mechanism for correcting or updating information after it has been analyzed and saved.

Editing allows the user's persistent memory to remain relevant as circumstances change.
The user can also delete a stored signal from the Memory Screen.
Deletion provides a direct way for the user to remove a signal that is no longer wanted or relevant.
