Intent Anchor Widget - Poppenspel-Advies/forget-me-not-mobile-app-ai GitHub Wiki
The Intent Anchorβ’ is a core contextual intelligence widget within the ForgetMeNot AIβ’ Home experience.
It connects what the user intends to do with the surrounding context that can help determine whether that intention may be forgotten, interrupted, or require preparation.
The Intent Anchor appears directly on the Home screen as a compact predictive widget. When selected, it expands into a detailed view of the underlying contextual intelligence.
The Home-page version provides a quick ambient view of the user's active intention.
It is intentionally compact so the user can understand the current anchor without leaving the Home experience.

π― Active Intent β what the user appears to be preparing to do or remember.
π§ Context β relevant environmental or situational information.
β±οΈ Time Awareness β when the intention may become relevant.
π Location Context β where the intention may matter.
β‘ Predictive Signal β why the system considers the intention important.
π‘οΈ Preventive Awareness β the opportunity to act before an omission occurs.
The widget acts as an Intent Anchor between the user's current context and a potential future action.
When the user selects the Intent Anchor widget, ForgetMeNot AIβ’ opens a detailed contextual view.

The expanded screen provides a deeper explanation of why the intention has been anchored and what contextual signals are associated with it.
The primary intention identified from the user's captured or contextual signals.
Example:
βRemember to take the documents before leaving.β
The surrounding circumstances connected to the intention.
This can include:
Current or relevant location
Environmental context
Nearby activity
Related objects
Associated events
Recent captured signals
The system can associate the intention with a relevant time window.
For example:
Now β Later Today β Before Departure β Upcoming Event
This gives the intention temporal meaning rather than treating it as an isolated reminder.
The detailed view can expose the relationships behind the prediction:

This makes the reasoning context visible instead of presenting the user with a simple unexplained notification.
The Intent Anchor and Ripple Shieldβ’ work together conceptually.
The Intent Anchorβ’ identifies and preserves the importance of an intention.
The Ripple Shieldβ’ represents the preventive layer that helps protect that intention from becoming an omission.

PREVENTION
The Intent Anchor experience is deliberately divided into two levels:
| Experience | Purpose |
|---|---|
| π Home Widget | Fast awareness of the active intention |
| π Detailed View | Deeper understanding of the contextual signals |
| π― Intent | Identifies what matters |
| 𧩠Context | Explains why it matters |
| β±οΈ Time | Establishes when it matters |
| π Place | Establishes where it matters |
| π‘οΈ Prevention | Helps transform awareness into action |
A conventional reminder generally starts with a manually entered task.
The Intent Anchorβ’ is designed around a different principle:
An intention becomes more meaningful when it is connected to context.
By placing that intention directly on the Home screen and allowing the user to open its deeper context, ForgetMeNot AIβ’ creates a bridge between:
What I intend β What is happening β What I may forget β What I can do now
Home Widget β Context β Detailed Intelligence β Prevention
This is the Intent Anchorβ’ experience within ForgetMeNot AIβ’.
