The DSA5 system in Foundry VTT offers a complete trading system for exchanging items between player characters and with NPCs.

Starting a Trade
There are several ways to begin a trade:
Via Token Hotbar
- Select your own token on the map
- Right-click on the token you want to trade with
- Open your character's Token Hotbar
- Select the Trade icon (handshake or exchange icon)
- Click on the target token
Via Drag and Drop
- Open your character sheet
- Drag an item from your inventory
- Drop it onto another token on the map
- A trade window opens for both parties
Requirements
- The Game Master can trade with all tokens
- Players can only trade with tokens they own
- Both parties must be online (for player-to-player trades)
The Trade Window
When a trade is started, a trade window opens for both parties:

Layout
The window shows:
- Left: Your inventory (items you can offer)
- Center: Your offer (what you're giving)
- Right: The other party's offer (what you're receiving)
Searching Items
Use the search field at the top of the window to quickly find specific items in your inventory.
Conducting a Trade
1. Offering Items
- Click on an item in inventory: Adds 1 piece to the offer
- Ctrl + Click: Adds 10 pieces to the offer

2. Trading Money
Coins (Ducats, Silver Thalers, Farthings, Pennies) are treated like normal items:

3. Accepting the Offer
When you're satisfied with the offer:
- Click Accept
- Your acceptance status is shown to your trading partner
- The trade is completed when both sides have accepted
4. Changing the Offer
If you want to change something after accepting:
- Click on an item again
- Your acceptance status is reset
- The other side sees the changed offer
Canceling a Trade
You can cancel the trade at any time:
- Simply close the trade window
- The other side is notified that the trade was canceled
- No items are transferred
Trade Sound
A sound effect plays when:
- A trade request is received
- A trade is successfully completed
Tips
- Communication: Discuss trades in chat before starting
- Verify: Always check the offer before accepting
- Stacks: Large quantities can be traded efficiently with Ctrl+Click
