Upgrade / Currency system idea 11/27

  • Can upgrade items to increase their stats with increasingly increasing prices, stronger items requiring even more money
  • Can sell items to get money
  • maximizing an item (max of 5 levels?) gives you an Limit Gem
  • You can use 2 limit gems to increase max level of an item by 3. You can do this 3 times.
  • Maximing a triple limit item gives you a magic gem
  • You can use two magic gems to transform a normal item into a magic item
  • Then you have magic versions of the limit gems and the system goes on. Magic items do cost more money to upgrade and they have higher max level too (leveling them up can power up the mods too I suppose).
  • Magic items can then be upgrade into Rare items. Those have more suffixes and preffixes. Maybe at first only have Bahamut items (4 preffixes), with eden and Ultima being released later
  • You can them have limit gems for Bahamut items in the same way

Area Generation System

NAME Has an noun and an adjective. Create all possibilities. When repeating, put a II, for now. Subjects and adjectives are associated to tags when necessary(both 'sea' and 'water' have the tag 'water') ENEMY NAME Adjective + name. VERSION 2: Some enemy names are exclusive to certain tags (mermaid, shark only in water). Trees are exclusive to #nature. Everybody else is fair game. Some nouns are exclusive to late game / bosses.

Event System

Events generally kept in Battle Manager and not persistent Some events will be persistent, such as unlocking an area, entering an area, levelling up. This is so you can show them in the log window later? (not implemented, maybe in the future, maybe not)

PRESTIGE SYSTEM DRAFT (OLD)

  • Has max hero level
  • Prestiging is allowed when hero is five levels below max level
  • Prestige adds an amulet to the hero
  • Prestige removes all items except for equipped items
  • Prestige halfs the strength of equipped items
  • Prestige does not lose permanent stat upgrades

Story System

STORY SPECIFICATION: Interacting with a cutscene WILL ALWAYS "advance the story" or the world. If you skip the cutscene or if you watch later, if you complete the cutscene normally, everything will advance the story. However, if you skip, then there will be no notification in memory. If you watch later, there will be a notification to watch later.
