Pull rate and card order Information - Pepper0ni/TTS-PTCG-Pack-Simulator Wiki

Card order is arranged where the top of the pack is the first option assuming the cards are face down. Card order can be verified using Youtube pack openings, but be wary of openers reordering the packs before showing cards in order to build suspense.

Unless specified otherwise, A Reverse Holo can be any Common, Uncommon, Rare Or Rare Holo in the set except a basic energy.

I do not currently have Data on POP packs, so they are unimplemented.

Where I have only a range of pull rates to work with, I either guess the position in the range using the number of cards in the slot if the range covers multiple sets, or otherwise just use the most generous realistic rate given the data presented to make drafts more interesting.

A note about "White Codes". "White Code" is a modern term for any pack which contains something other than a basic rare in the rare slot (or equivalent in packs where foils replace commons). All normal packs up to and including gen 7^ seem to have a 33% White Code rate, while gen 8 Packs have a 40% White Code rate. This consistent total rate was proven based on where I could get reliable data with Holos included and is often used to calculate Holo rate where it is not stated in sources (which is very common with modern sets). Data used to determine this can be found in the data spreadsheet with the exception of some gen 3-4 basic energy data, which I didn't bother saving.

^Technically, it may have changed sometime in gen 7, but this seems unlikely based on a source mentioning more white codes than usual in SwSh base and that lining up with a generation change.

A note about Data. For many old packs my sources are old forums, blogs which also source old forums, and unverifiable forum posts. These have sometimes proven unreliable for packs as recent as gen 6's BREAKs, and I simply don't have the patience to watch the thousands of pack openings needed to properly confirm data. Proper pack-opening data would be much preferred to what is basically hearsay, and if anyone wants to submit such sourced data to me of reasonable sample size, that would be great. Additionally, I have "caught" several instances of in demand cards having significantly lower pull rates that others of the same Official Rarity even in the same pack. I would reccomend taking per-card pull rates of pulls where possible, especially where Charizards, Eeveelutions and Waifus are involved. Note that my required sample size to call single card rarities is very high (5000 minimum, ideally higher)

Source Key:

BotP: "Back of the Pack". Wizards Packs had stated a 1/3 rate for "premium pulls" on the back of pants, equivalent to a modern White Code. Based on how later packs work, it is likely the combined Holo and other rarity rate.

RWC: Remaining White Codes. Means that the chance of a Holo is coded as the remaining white code chance after all other rarities have been rolled. This is used to avoid error-prone math and because the White Code rate is a known constant while other rarities are not.

n=: the number of packs used to receive data, where available. I welcome any attempt to boost low numbers.
