Behold, the former ruler of the Overworld. The Cruncher is a titan of times gone by, a beast that once had a tyrannical grip on all mobs living Designed by Noonyeyz.
0.75 knockback resistance doesn't spawn in peaceful cruncher spawns as a boss mob, but can be pacified into a regular mob when spawned and the boss even starts, you will need to deal damage in order to stun it and then feed it 3 times in order to pacify it. The cruncher gets stunned everytime its health goes lower than the 0.75% of its max health, so everytime you deal 125 damage. when stunned it can be fed anything from the #species:cruncher_eats tag to make its hunger go down and continue the fight. When stunned it heals 1 hp per tick. Everytime it gets stunned, it gets stunned for 15 seconds, if you don't feed it in that time span it will go back to normal crunchers in boss mode can destroy leaves crunchers can only be leashed when not in boss mode crunchers have 2 attacks, a roar and a stomp attack. The stomp attack deals aoe 8 damage around it that scales depending on how far from it you are, The roar attack inflicts weakness and slowness to everything around it crunchers only target players and mobs that hit it pacified crunchers work as mobile mob farms, they gain a ui that you can use to tell them which mob to hunt. Everyday in the morning they will spit a cruncher pellet that contains a large quantity of mob drops of the mob they're hunting. They can spit up to 10 pellets at a time.
Crunchers are naturally hostile however, they can be pacified.
Cruncher's will spawn in boss mode with a boss bar that reads "Cruncher's Appetite". They will initiate every battle with a roar. Their roar grants weakness I and slowness I for [time amount]. They will continue to roar periodically when in combat. When within range, Crunchers will attempt to attack the player. Their attack is deadly and deals [damage amount] if the player is within range however, the damage falls off the further you are from the central point of damage.
When a hostile Cruncher has 25% of its health the Cruncher will become stunned and lower its head and have several meat haunch particles circling above. It will remain in this state for [time duration] or until fed [Cruncher Food items]. Once feeding the Cruncher, the "Cruncher's Appetite" meter at the top of the screen will lower, indicating progress. Once completely depleted, the Cruncher will become pacified.
Hunted mobs is data driven and its jsons can be found in data/ "mod or datapack id" /gameplay/cruncher_pellets and look like this [json format] max and min tries decides how many drops you will get, item is the item you put in the gui, type is the mob that corresponds to the item. More than one item can correspond to one mob
