About - PatternAgents/Electronics_One_Workshop GitHub Wiki

This Wiki is intended to be an online learning tool for several workshops and meet-ups, (the link will be sent out beforehand) so people can have a chance to go through it before the workshop.

A number of meetups, and hacker spaces that I've visited, have asked me about putting together an introductory electronics class or workshop as an preface for some of my other, more specialized or advanced workshops. Because there are already so many good introductory classes on the internet, I always wondered if I might have anything at all to add to that already existing body of work. So rather than reinvent those wheels, I decided to put this introduction together as more of a curated Wiki; a basic foundation of what I think it would be helpful to know, before being able to hack on hardware with some degree of success. Or just being able to attend a meetup or workshop and know the majority of terms and acronyms being used, so you can understand what people are talking about.

I'm subtitling this "Electronics for Merry Pranksters", because as Ken Kesey said "you're either on the bus or off the bus. If you're on the bus, and you get left behind, then you'll find it again. If you're off the bus in the first place — then it won't make a difference."

And by that I mean, you can jump off and go follow some of the links to other material, and then rejoin us anywhere along the way that you'd like.

If you'd like to drive for while, just submit a pull request...
