Welcome to the FAQ section! Below you'll find answers to common questions.

❌ Installation failed: TV Name could not be found

This error usually occurs when the TV is not properly detected during the installation process. Try the following steps:

  1. Ensure the TV is turned on.
  2. Make sure the TV is connected to the same network as your PC.
  3. Verify developer mode is enabled.
  4. Verify the developer mode settings, Host IP needs to match your PC local ip.

If the problem persists, refer to the installation guide or contact support.

🔐 Do I need a Samsung developer account?

Yes, if you're installing on a Samsung Tizen TV with Tizen 7 or up in developer mode.
You can sign up here.

🔁 Re-use certificates?

Can I reuse my already created certificates? Yes, If the application is able to find the existing certificates and it's not expired you can re-use them in the signing process

⛖ Only Jellyfin?

While the application is created with Jellyfin in mind it is possible to side load different WGT files, check out the Settings page

🧭 How to Enable Developer Mode on Your TV

  1. Press the Home or Smart Hub button on your remote
  2. Go to Apps
  3. Enter 12345 using your remote
  4. In the Developer Mode popup:
    • Toggle Developer Mode ON
    • Enter your PC’s local IP address (find it using ipconfig /all)
  5. Restart the TV
