Current Project Status: Amber

This week we had faced a roadblock as the files that were pushed to github, after pulling were not being extracted properly. We did search about this online to find a resolution and almost after 2 days we found one minor error from our side. We had to upddate the .gitignore files. This costed a significant amount of time for us which put us a little behind the schedule. We also did establish the notebook for the ML model and started training the model simultaneously. We also improved the test file structure. We are confident that we will be able to deliver the planned issues.

Team Goals for the upcoming week:

Major goal for the upcoming week is to finish developing the model, create the mode_selection page, integrate the model with the system, improve the navigation. We need to keep up with the planned tasks and finish the tasks.

Individual Team Member Status:

• Antariksh: Worked on resolving the issues encountered, worked on mode_selection page. Worked on Github Actions.

  • This coming week: Will work on mode_selection page, will integrate ML model to the application. Resolve the error encountered in Github actions.

• Krinal: Worked on issues with flutter application, did more research about model and started to train the model for currency detection feature.

  • This coming week: Will work to integrate model with flutter application.

• Swaraj: Worked on resolving application issues and downloading dependencies for Xcode. Completed iOS Firebase setup and started working on the ML model for currency detection.

  • This coming week: Will work on training and integrating the ML model with the app.

• Akhil: Worked on UI/UX development research ensuring the interface is intuitive and accessible, contributed in finding resolution for the errors we were facing in git actions.

  • This coming week: Integrate voice accessibility features to enchance navigation for visually impaired users.

• Khushi: Worked on resolution of the errors with which we came across while committing and cloning the repository. Helped in understanding the errors associated with firebase test cases. Also designed the UI components.

  • This coming week: Will work on enhancing UI components, improving navigation, and ensuring frontend integration with the backend services.

• Harsh: Managed overall project coordination, ensuring smooth team communication and alignment with sprint goals. Assisted in resolving blockers, facilitated discussions on Slack, and tracked progress to keep the team on schedule. Contributed to frontend development by reviewing UI components and ensuring design consistency.

  • This coming week: ensuring timely integration of components. Assist in frontend development by refining UI elements and improving the responsiveness of key features. Also, oversee the integration of the ML model with the application and support troubleshooting as needed.

Team activities:

We hosted 2 group meetings and multiple sub-team meetings:

• Working group meeting 03/08 and 03/10 : Everyone attended.
• In meeting 1 Reviewed Sprint 1 progress, addressed setup challenges, and finalized core features and in Meeting 2 we discussed how we will move ahead with the problem we were facing and to prioritize firebase integration.
• In the assignee level meetings we discussed the steps to take to move forward and resolve errors.

Team Project Decisions:

• Prioritize ML model integration and resolving errors present in the Github actions.

Other Comments:

If we manage to progress in the Second Sprint with the planned tasks we will focus more on finetuning the ML model and start working on the TTS and STT functionality.
