Sprint 2 - Paiet/Capstone GitHub Wiki
Sprint 2
Deliverable Statement:
During this sprint, we will set up and secure the industrial control system (ICS) network by configuring the PLCs, HMIs, power supplies, switches, and routing. We will also meet with the LC to discuss creating a team and identifying any potential vulnerabilities in the network.
Objectives:
-
Set up PLCs: During Sprint 2, the team successfully set up all necessary Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for the project. These devices will be used to control the various components of the ICS system and execute the necessary automated processes.
-
Set up HMIs: The team also set up all required Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) during Sprint 2. These interfaces will provide operators with an easy-to-use way to monitor and control the ICS system.
-
Set up power supplies: In order to ensure the ICS system can operate consistently and without interruption, the team also set up all necessary power supplies during Sprint 2. These power supplies will provide the necessary electrical power to all devices and components within the system.
-
Set up networking: The team successfully set up the necessary networking infrastructure during Sprint 2. This includes establishing a network topology and configuring network devices such as routers and switches.
-
Set up switches: In addition to networking, the team also set up all required switches during Sprint 2. These switches will connect devices within the ICS system to the network.
-
Set up routing: Routing was also established during Sprint 2. This involves configuring network devices to direct traffic between different parts of the ICS system and the wider network.
-
Meet with LC to discuss creating a team: Finally, the team met with the LC during Sprint 2 to discuss creating a team for the project. This included identifying potential team members, establishing roles and responsibilities, and creating a plan for collaboration moving forward.
Outcomes:
During this sprint, we successfully configured and secured the PLCs, HMIs, power supplies, and networking infrastructure. We also conducted a thorough vulnerability assessment of the ICS network, identifying and addressing potential security risks. Additionally, We met with the LC to discuss team formation and ensure the network is adequately secured.
