FAQ

1. How can I join my first mission?

Read the Community Rules and Arma 3 In-Game Policies. Download the modpack from #arma-info on Discord. Check #events for upcoming missions and join by reacting with an emote. Note: First-time players are limited to Squad Infantry/Grunt roles.

2. How do I become a full PXG member?

Just participate and be respectful. Typically, you'll become a full member within three missions. There’s no attendance tracking or role expectations—just have fun do your best.

3. Can I join playing only specialized roles (Sniper, Pilot, Armour Crew, etc.)?

Yes, you will usually play as a normal grunt / soldier / rifleman for your first few missions. Specialised roles are chosen by the PL in line with what the plan is. We don't need snipers in a jungle or a snow storm. We may need more medics!

4. How can I play specialized roles?

Once you’re confident in your abilities and are a member, go for it. If you need help learning a role, ask in arma-chat or message any green role.

5. I want to contribute to the community. How can I help?

Helping out often happens naturally. There’s no formal promotion process, but contributions are recognized over time. A concrete way to contribute is by creating missions or being willing to do stuff. Check out our Mission-Making Guide.

6. What role/faction can I play during a mission?

7. What is the Armory, and how do I use it?

The Armory is where you select your loadout. Choose the role you signed up for at the crate near the flagpole at spawn. Use the scroll-wheel menu to access the 'Armory' option.

8. How does the flagpole work?

At Briefing (Spawn), use the flagpole’s scroll-wheel menu to access the 'Deployment' UI and deploy to staging points or a FOB (if available). At staging, the flagpole also provides access to 'Motorpool' and 'Resupply' menus, meant for Logistics to spawn vehicles and supplies.

9. Who do I talk to if I want to improve a skill or role?

Tag @PXG-Team (green role) for assistance.

10. Can I stream or upload YouTube videos of the missions?

Yes. Please make sure you mention it to the PL before the briefing starts.

11. I'm a pilot and I want to fly in ops.

You must be a PXG full member before you can request either a) check ride with the flight instructor or b) training and check ride with the flight instructor. You gotta be able to fly, use a radio and navigate and not crash. It is hard.

12. Explain the Discord roles please.

• @Newcomer: New to the Discord; can access recruitment channels and general chat.
• @Rookie: New to PXG. Has played less than 3 ops / missions.
• @Members: Recognized members of PXG.
• @PXG Team: Members who do work or management of things like tech, media, recruitment, accounts, dev, community, discord, training, etc.
• @Spectators: The fun mean name we give to people who hang around but don't milsim with us.
