Fixing tripped channel on ECAL (old) - PADME-Experiment/padme-fw GitHub Wiki

It may happen that channels in ECAL trip: you know it happened when a DCS alarm appears on the screen. The alarm will give you the number (210xxxx or 9xxxxx) and the position (board.channel) of the scintillating unit that tripped: please report this info in ELOG before turn the channel on!

To turn on again the scintillating unit, you need to login to daq@l0padme1 (password on the board in PADME Control Room), and then connect to the SY4527 HV crate, using "ssh [email protected]" (password also on the board). To get the list of channels, please move on "Main" with the arrows, push "↵" and select "Channels", pushing "↵" again. From here, in the first column you can see the number of scintillating units, while in the last column you can see the position on the board. Move with the arrows on the "Pw" column, and move down until you find the position of the scintillating unit you are looking for. Most probably, the channel will have a "I-tripped" status: use the space bar to turn it on again. Once the scintillating unit is on again, wait some seconds just to be sure it does not trip again. You can now exit the SY4527 menu: use the ↹ key to move on "Main", push "↵", select "Logout" and then "↵". Logout from daq@l0padme1.
