Ferret-badgers are fossorial mustelids that consist of species of the genus Melogale. They are able to climb and burrow - creating shelters in the ground they rest in during the day, as they are most active at dusk. They hunt for earthworms, insects, and amphibians, as well as small rodents and occasionally fruit.


Variants

Ferret-badgers have 3 different variants. These include (from top to bottom):

Small-toothed ferret-badger | Melogale moschata

Javan ferret-badger | Melogale orientalis

Burmese ferret-badger | Melogale personata

Spawning and Biomes

The Ferret-badger spawns in forests and jungles. They have a 25% spawn rate and spawn in groups of 2.

Drops

The Ferret-badger drops Small Wild Meat and Fur. It has 10 hit points.

Behaviour

They are passive.

Breeding

As of release 1.0, the Ferret-badger is currently able to have babies. The Ferret-badger can be bred using Caterpillars, obtained from killing certain Moths and Butterflies.
