Butterflies and moths are insects under the order Lepidoptera. They are capable of flight, and most species thrive off of the nectar from flowers - whereas their larval forms, caterpillars, eat various species of plants. Butterflies are renowned for their brilliant displays on their wings, varying greatly in colour and patterning between each species, whereas moths are typically viewed as pests.

All butterflies and moths have no sleeping AI, and thus are always active. They are passive.
As of release 1.0, all species of butterfly and moth are currently able to have babies. Butterflies and moths that are of the same species can breed to result in a single caterpillar. Butterflies and moths can be bred using Nectar.
