This video displays how metal cookie cutters are made by America's largest cookie cutters manufacturing company, Ann Clark cookie cutter.

Mechanism:

  • First, a design engineer maps out the shape in a computer.
  • Then they make a metal block/mold of the specified shape.
  • A machine is used to cut tin sheet into specified length, put a hem on it and roll it into circle.
  • The circles are then welded into rings.
  • The rings are then loaded to a machine with metal levers and the sample metal block by hand.
  • Finally, the metal levers perfectly shape the tin rings into the shape of the metal block creating a cookie cutter.

Advantages:

  • Durable
  • Easy to use
  • Maintain their shape
  • Affordable

Drawbacks:

  • Chances of corrosion
  • Bulky machines
  • Loading needs to be done by human
