Abstract
As per our need statement, we had to build an excavation robot which could excavate any kind of materials with ease and without much consumption of energy. Through this task assigned to us, we could come out with many different kind of concepts of how could we manage to build such a robot. After all kinds of researches we thought our design i.e “Royal Excavator” was the best one. The problem identified was the lack of energy and unavailability of such bots in having excavation done on bodies other than Earth too.
Our bot has a regular size that can be portable everywhere. Not much of energy is required too. It has the capability of even being driven on rough as well as smooth surfaces such as sand etc. Its outer body is strong enough to bear minor accidents. Working of the bot is a little complicated but works according to the user’s needs. Considering all such advantages of our robot, we feel that there is a lot of scope for such projects in future as there will be no sufficient amount of resources available later on. And if excavation processes needed to be done on bodies other than space gets scope then our such projects will be of a heavier value. Thus, the building the “Royal Excavator” successfully was a wonderful experience for all of us.
