Problem Definition:
Design a semi-automatic welcome robot, which is able to greet visitors warmly and distribute gift hampers efficiently. The robot should be easily portable, safe and user-friendly. The robot must not exceed a height of 3 feet and should be able to give out at least 2 hampers per minute, and the budget to build should not exceed Rs. 5000. The robot should work for 2 hours continuously on battery, detect the presence of a visitor, greet them with a message or sound, and dispense one hamper at a time. The robot should alert the organiser when the hampers run out, and not dispense a hamper if no visitor is detected. Easy to operate. It should be capable of providing greetings, displaying welcome messages, and presenting a gift hamper to guests. The robot should be safe, stable, and reliable during operation. It should be designed within the available budget and use simple, easily available materials. The robot should provide an interactive and memorable welcoming experience for users.
