Install Steps
-
Create a new folder to house your client 'Game' and 'Launcher' folders. i.e. a folder called 'SIT'
-
Inside this folder create 3 more folders called 'Game', 'Launcher', and 'Server'. Your folder structure should resemble below
SIT/
├── server/ # SPT-Aki Server / SIT Server Mod
├── game/ # EFT Client
└── launcher/ # SIT Manager
- Copy all the files from your 'live' Escape From Tarkov folder to your 'Game' Folder. It should resemble the image below
-
Download the latest downgrader from HERE
-
After the downgrader is downloaded extract the contents so that 'patcher.exe' and 'AKI_Patches' are in the 'Game' directory. Your 'Game' directory should now resemble this.
-
Run 'patcher.exe' and WAIT for it to complete before moving on to the next steps. It will prompt you when finished. You can close the box and then delete 'patcher.exe'. NOTE: It will delete the 'Aki_Patches' folder while it is downgrading Tarkov. This is normal and expected behavior.
-
Extract the SPT AKI Server 3.7.6 and copy the files to the 'Server' directory. It should resemble the image below.
-
Extract the SIT Server Mod and copy the contents to
server\user\mods\
directory. It should resemble the image below. -
Navigate to the
SIT\server
directory and run the 'Aki.Server.exe' so that it will generate the configuration files. Wait until you see 'Happy playing!!' then close the window. -
Next extract the 'SIT.Manager.zip' and copy the contents to the 'Launcher' folder. It should resemble the image below.

If you are using port forwarding follow this section. Note: If you are unfamiliar on what port forwarding is I recommend to use the Radmin option. If you are still set to do it this way and are unfamiliar check out this guide. As there are a lot of different configurations for how your individual network is setup this section will be extreemly vague.
-
Please do the research necessary for your particular system. This will just be a basic guide for the steps. How to accomplish time will be on you.
-
Port forward your router. Set ports 6969 and 6970 to point to the IP of the PC where the server will be running.
-
Allow ports 6969 and 6970 through the firewall of the PC that will be hosting the server

SIT\server
directory, run the 'Aki.Server.exe', and minimize the window. This will need to be running anytime you wish to play SIT. -
Now start the launcher by running the 'SIT.Manager.exe' file that's located in your 'Launcher' directory.
-
In the SIT.Manager you need to set the EFT Path. This will be where your COPIED EFT files are that you patched in step 4
-
Select 'Settings'
-
click 'Change' for 'EFT Path' setting.
-
Select your 'SIT/Game' folder
It should resemble the image below.
- Select the 'Tools' menu and click 'Install SIT'. The launcher will grab the latest release of SIT.
- Make sure to select the version of SIT that is appropriate for your version of EFT. If you don't know this then you need to go to your game folder and do the following
-
Right click 'EscapeFromTarkov.exe'
-
Click 'Properties'
-
Click the 'Details' pane
-
Look at the 'Product version' it is 0.13.9.1-27622 at the time of writing this document.
-
Selecting your SIT version for your EFT version
-
Since I have 0.13.9.1.27622 I can use any of the corresponding 'StayInTarkov.Client' versions that utilize that EFT version. Unless otherwise stated though it is best to choose the latest release for your EFT version.
- Make your selection and click 'Install' after it is complete you need to get the IP of the server from whoever is hosting and place it in the 'Play' tab. For this example I am using my local host IP for security reasons, but yours should RESEMBLE this.
- Now enter a username and password (Nothing sensitive as these are stored in plain text). Select 'Remember Me' and Click 'Connect'
