Welcome to the Tanks wiki!

You can access the server HERE. (Check it out, really. It's cool.)

Tanks is a game designed to encourage learning the basics of java programming as well as providing a fun way for programmers to 'duke it out' as it were.

You can upload tanks, battle it out with other tanks, watch games, make tweaks to your tanks, and try again.

Have some fun, poke around, you can find a link to our server here. (but really, you should go check it out.)

#Getting started#

See the Getting Started page, but here's a quick primer. Basically, you code a java class implementing a provided interface and upload your code to the server. Head on over to the arena, create or join a game. Once four tanks have joined, we'll run the tanks against each other and you can watch the results in the Your Games section.

#Future Work#

Our plans for this in the future are far reaching, including:

Changing to cartesian coordinates
Extending to users
Getting a real domain
Making the programming easier (add possible calls to api or make it gui programming)

The possibilities are endless. If we look out a little further we can see more strategic goals:

Get real hosting
Add advertisements or additional functionality for paying users
