This page is a short-term scratchpad/sandbox for fleshing out the details of how annotations that are added to trees should be structured.

We are attempting to be internally consistent with the structure of annotations in NeXSON. Where appropriate, attempts have been made to incorporate concepts from related projects addressing the formalization of annotation data, including Open Annotation, Annotation Ontology, and the W3C PROV Ontology.
